Emma Thompson, O.D. is a three-time graduate of The Ohio State University, receiving her Doctor of Optometry and Master of Science in Vision Science in 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from The Ohio State University in 2017.
Dr. Thompson grew up in Cleveland, OH, but recently moved to the Pittsburgh area from Columbus, OH. During optometry school, she was the class president and earned a second degree through the combined “OD/MS” program, where she completed a research project studying the relationship between eye structure and visual perception. She has been awarded the Ohio "Excellence in Advanced Practice Award" and the "James A. Bing Memorial Award" for her work in both private practice and research settings.
When not at work, you can most likely find Dr. Thompson painting, on a hike at Frick Park with her dog, or enjoying one of Pittsburgh's amazing restaurants.
